Hisense HS-U970 - Device Overview

Overview

The Hisense HS-U970 is mid-range smartphone based on the MediaTek 6589M chipset with a 5-inch capacitive multi-touch screen QHD IPS. It features a Quad-core 1.2GHz processor with 4GB of internal storage and 1GB RAM. The storage can be expanded via a MicroSD card of up to 32GB.

Tech Nugget

The phone runs an almost completely unmodified version of Android. The biggest change made was to the stock Android camera interface but Hisense also opted to include the Kingsoft Office productivity suite, a theme manager and TouchPal Keyboard as pre-installed bloatware.

Anticipated Issues

If you think your applications are running in the background and increasing data usage, try closing background apps.
To make sure you are connected to the right network, or if you are unable to access the network, try manually selecting the network as this will allow you to make sure your cellphone is connected to the right network.
If you're having trouble sending SMS messages, try to change the SMS centre number.
